In 2006, the Town of Vanceboro Tax Department contracted with the Craven County Tax Department to bill and collect taxes for Vanceboro.  This allows taxpayers to pay county and town taxes in one bill, at one location.  The Town of Vanceboro’s current property tax rate is $0.40 per $100.

The Town of Vanceboro Board of Aldermen adopted into the Code of Ordinances, Chapter 12  Business Registration and Chapter 13 Itinerant Merchants, Peddlers and Vendors, at their June 5, 2017 meeting.  All businesses conducting business in the town limits of Vanceboro are required to submit a Business License Application and applicable fee as adopted each year by the Board of Aldermen on the Schedule of Fees .  Registration will be valid beginning July 1st and expiring June 30th of each year.

This required registration will document the types of activities conducted at your business, as well as emergency contact information.  This information will be utilized by emergency personnel.
