Water

The Town of Vanceboro’s goal is to supply safe drinking water to each and every customer.  Our wells draw water from a ground water source which is the Castle Hayne Aquifer.  We have two wells that are 165 feet deep.  One is located on Farm Life Avenue at the water plant site, the other is located off Mill Avenue near the water plant site.  We also have three elevated storage tanks with a holding capacity of 550,000 gallons.
